Textured Acrylic - Matter and Colors

Textured acrylic is a dance between color and matter, a flat sculpture that gains relief, almost rising from the canvas to tell stories of earth and force. It's a powerful and visceral language, an energy that is released with every brushstroke, every scrape of the spatula that leaves a mark, trapping something wild, like lava flowing beneath the Earth's crust, ready to explode and tell its truth.

Unlike charcoal, textured acrylic is not a whisper; it's a roar. Every time I apply color to the canvas, sculpting its surface, I feel the canvas transform into something alive, pulsating and breathing. It's as if my hand follows a primal instinct, the same energy that shapes rocks, that drives the earth to move and transform. It's a dance of contrasts where each color finds its voice. It's the narrative of an inner landscape taking shape, a space that resides within me but transforms into something universal. For me, textured acrylic is an invitation to let go of all control, to follow instinct and give shape to the unexpected. It's the pleasure of touch, of creating with one's hands, of feeling the material mold under my touch, like a living stone. Each canvas becomes a small world, a piece of land on which I've left a mark, a space where color and form tell stories of nature and force, of balance and chaos.
